LAKESHORE CAMPUS SAFETY
A truly safe campus can only be achieved through the
cooperation of all students, staff and faculty. For more information, contact

Because many crimes are preventable, College of Lake
County’s campus safety office encourages students and employees to get
involved in protecting themselves and their property, and to take responsibility
for their own safety and for the safety of others. Campus safety helps students
and employees protect themselves in the following ways:
An escort service by campus safety
or Waukegan Police Detail is available by request at the Lakeshore campus,
throughout the campus and parking garage.
In-house campus phones located throughout the Lakeshore
campus provide access to the receptionist desk and the campus safety department.
Parking control and traffic enforcement of the City
of Waukegan parking garage.
Panic buttons located on all levels in the City of
Waukegan parking garage.
Motorist assistance with minor problems such as jump-
starts or recovering keys locked in cars.
Emergency first aid.
Testing and upkeep of fire prevention equipment and
fire alarms.
Motorized scooters to assist throughout the campus.
REPORTING A CRIME
To report a crime, contact the Reception Desk on the
first floor of the South Building and/or the Campus Safety Office near the
rear stairs of the South Building. Help is available by dialing ‘0’
or extension 6200.
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
The Lakeshore Campus Safety Officer is state certified
officer trained through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Board and have
authority to report and investigate criminal activity as allowed by the State
of Illinois. CLC’s campus safety office works closely with other local
public safety agencies to share information and give mutual assistance.
CAMPUS WATCH
Campus Watch is the people of the College of Lake County
looking out for one another. You, the Campus Watcher, have the opportunity
to make a positive contribution to the community. Through your active involvement
in this helps make our community not only a safer place, but also a better
place. Monthly meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 1:00p.m.

Saturday Scheduling is limited due to the programming
of the
college.
Sunday Closed
· Campus Safety Personnel are on duty during
the daytime hours and evening hours are covered by a Waukegan Police detail.
