ENLACE is sponsor by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
The program is a collaborative initiative involving students, K-12 schools,
community organizations, colleges, and Universities through the county.
The word "ENLACE" derives
from a Spanish Word "enlazar," which means to link or wave together.
College of Lake County is participating in the initiative in the Chicago area,
along with several other community colleges and Northeaster Illinois University.
The contact for ENLACE at the College of Lake County is Myra Gaytan-Morales.
Myra is CLC's an ENLACE Fellow. Her job is to work with students, schools
and the community to help Latino students enroll at CLC and succeed in their
studies.
