Tentative Schedule for 2008-09 (all meetings at CLC unless otherwise noted): Friday, September 5-- Board Meeting, 12:30 P.M. at CLC Friday, September 19th-- Lunch for Board members and Newcomer Counselors, 11:30 A.M. at CLC followed by Fall Workshop at 1:00 P.M. Workshop topics: Recertification requirements for school counselors. Speaker: Dan Stasi, Illinois Counseling Association Working with Helicopter Parents Speaker: Dr. Kathleen Galvin, professor of family communication at NorthwesternUniversity. Friday, October 24-- Fall College Tour to Kendall College and Flashpoint in Chicago Friday, December 5-- Board Meeting, 12:30 P.M. at CLC Thursday, January 29-- Board Meeting at 12:30 P.M. at CLC or 2:00 P.M. at Grill 21 followed by Social at Grill 21 from 4 until 6 P.M. Friday, March 6-- Board Meeting, 11:00 A.M. and Winter Workshop at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 17-- Board Meeting and Appreciation Lunch, 12:30 P.M. at Elly's Friday, May 22-- Annual Mini-workshop, Site to be determined |
