Timeline for International Field Study Course Proposals

All efforts should be made to submit an international field study course proposal as early as possible.   If approved, an international field study course must be advertised in at least one printed schedule (fall, spring, or summer).   The deadlines listed below will meet this minimum requirement.   Should a proposal be submitted earlier, the field study course may be included in up to three (3) printed class schedules.

Winter Session Trips (December – January)

Deadline Activity

March 15

Faculty submit completed proposal packet to their dean.

March 22

Dean submits packet to Educational Affairs Council for review.

April 15

Status letters sent to faculty documenting approval or denial.

May 1

Advertising for printed Fall schedule finalized.

Summer Session Trips (May - August)

Deadline Activity

August 1

Faculty submit completed proposal packet to their dean.

August 15

Dean submits packet to Educational Affairs Council for review.

September 15

Status letters sent to faculty documenting approval or denial.

October 1

Advertising for printed Spring schedule finalized.
